Our team at Pacific Medical Products is honored to announce that we’re now a proud partner with Make-A-Wish® Alaska and Washington, the local organization that creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We’re also pleased to share that we’ll be kicking off this partnership with a $10,000 donation that will go directly to helping grant a wish for a local child.

Make-A-Wish® Alaska and Washington

Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington has been creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses since 1986, when three volunteers founded the local chapter. Today, the local chapter has granted more than 7,500 wishes thanks to the love, support and investment of our community.

A wish coming true marks a turning point that helps the child feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their critical illnesses. Wish alumni, former wish children who are now adults, will tell you that their wish was more than a moment in time, it shaped and influenced their lives in ways that continue to impact them to this very day. That’s because wishes have a long-lasting impact.

The average cost of a wish is $10,000, so we’re incredibly honored for a child’s wish to be granted as a direct result of our donation. Working alongside Make-A-Wish to help create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses is a commitment that we’re proud to be a part of at Pacific Medical Products.

While we’re excited to make a difference in a child’s life, the work is far from over. For every wish granted nationally, there are three more children with critical illnesses whose wishes still need financial support. Additionally, every 20-minutes there’s a child being diagnosed with a critical illness worldwide. Thankfully, 15 wishes will be granted today because of gracious donors.
